It is an original design manufacturer and electronics assembler, historically attached to the iPhone supply chain. The AI infrastructure narrative turns that relationship outward. There is still a constructive counter-argument. Foxconn is repositioning itself. Data center construction, power distribution, cooling operations, and remote monitoring are possible expansion layers. If Foxconn can monetize those services, it becomes less like a pure assembler and more like a managed infrastructure provider. That shift would justify a higher valuation multiple. The August print supports the thesis that Foxconn has scale. It does not confirm that the shift has already happened.
